As I approach maintenance, they don’t seem to know how to manage that.

By researching iron overload I soon realised that, for me, it was simply a case of getting it under control ASAP and then managing it without letting it control my life.

In hindsight, knowing the condition and the symptoms, I think my dad might have had it.
